Welcome to the Institut Linguistique Adenet
You wish to learn French or to improve your French language skills. You would like to learn quickly to
communicate confidently in French. You have only a couple of weeks or several months at your disposal
and wish to study in one of France’s year round most attractive regions – Languedoc-Roussillon.
We at ILA commit ourselves to high quality teaching and services, which is your guarantee of a
successful language stay.
Our Institute is located in the Grand Rue Jean Moulin, one of the most attractive addresses
in the heart of Montpellier's historic centre. This street is a pedestrian district with
many small boutiques, gourmet shops and
typical coffee shops. Our building is a stylish private mansion dating back to the 18th century with
a magnificent entrance hall. Our Institute provides very well equipped and air-conditioned
classrooms as well as 22 computers with
flat screens for high speed internet and email access (use is free of charge).
We have additionaly wireless access (WIFI) - free of charge.
We welcome every year students from more than 60 countries
of all different backgrounds and ages. You can contact former students who would be happy
to tell you about their experience at ILA.
Our courses and accommodation options
We offer a wide range of French language courses for all levels and
all needs with weekly starting dates. Small class sizes of a maximum of 10 students allow for an active participation
of each student. All our teachers are fully qualified to teach French as a foreign language. Their experience,
and dynamic stimulating way of teaching in connection with our proven interactive method
will enable you to progress quickly. The working atmosphere is serious, but relaxed.
We offer a wide range of carefully selected accommodation options
which are continuously monitored by our in-house accommodation department.
The weekly changing activity program
offers spare time activities and cultural visits such as guided tours of the historic centre of Montpellier,
cheese and wine tasting, dinners in French restaurants, excursions to Avignon, Provence, Camargue, Carcassonne etc.
Montpellier
The city of Montpellier (260.000 inhabitants) offers a beautiful historic centre with narrow
picturesque streets, elegant private mansion houses dating back to the 16th century and many tree shaded cafés.
As a typical student town with 60.000 students there is a very attractive cultural life and the daily cost of
living is much lower than for most other destinations in France. Many street musicians and artists contribute
to the warm Mediterranean atmosphere of the city. Montpellier opens like an amphitheatre toward the Mediterranean
Sea with its long, sandy beaches and the salt lagoons with huge colonies of wild pink flamingos. The interior is
fascinating and unspoilt with many creeks, gorges and mountain villages to be discovered. This is also a big wine
growing area with many excellent wines to be tasted.
The climate
is excellent. Summer lasts until late October and one can even sit outside in winter to drink ones
coffee in one of the numerous cafés. The sun shines on more than 300 days a year...
General Information
- Minimum age: 16 years, no maximum age.
- 1 lesson = 45 minutes.
- Minimum stay: 1 week.
- Maximum stay: 34 weeks.

- Language levels : Minimum 6 levels, most of the time 8 - 10 levels.
- Class sizes : Max. 10 students per class (one student for private course).
- Start : Every Monday year round (complete beginner have fixed dates).

- Certificate : ILA certificate will be given at end of stay.
- Nationalities : We welcome students of more than 60 nationalities every year.
- Activity program : 4 activities per week are offered.

Our courses meet a wide range of general
language needs across a broad range of linguistic abilities and are intended to help you achieve a variety
of communication goals according to your level of ability. Their great flexibility allows you to learn
